Finger Paints Quilt - Part 3

I have been off on a little holiday that is not at all related to my quilting. About as non-quilty as you might imagine really.

In the meantime, I have quilted this lovely quilt and even finished the binding! In my last post, I did mention I had some exciting news about my quilting machine. I am going to keep you guessing a little longer about that, but you might figure it out from these pictures…

I quilted this with an all over design called ‘Malachite’, designed by Patricia Ritter. I love the irregular lines that give the quilt such a gorgeous squishy texture. I used a pale dirty pink thread to blend over the vast array of colours in this quilt.

The subtle pink speckle on the back is a nice contrast to the busy front of the quilt.

And here’s a peek of my machine in the ‘before’ state. I promise to post about the big news next time 🙂
