Flowering Gum Quilt - Part 2
Time to put it all together.
The method I see to piece the quilt made for blocks larger than the way they would have been following the directions in the pattern. I knew this and was prepared to trim them all to size when I finished. I laid all the patterns out on the floor and placed the blocks on top.
Using my handy light box, I was able to trim the blocks to size. There was a bit of fudging because my method was less precise than the pattern. I did not mind this. The design allowed for some variation and I was cool with that.
There was one little section I wasn’t thrilled with, so I cut it out and fixed it up.
All done. Now on to the quilting.
